Dr Mohomed Ghafoor is a highly skilled and experienced GP and an advocate for the therapeutic use of medicinal cannabinoids in appropriate cases. He is an ‘Authorised Prescriber’ (approved by the TGA) of medicinal cannabinoids. Dr Ghafoor will work in conjunction with the patient’s treating Medical Specialist and General Practitioner in a shared care role to assess suitability, track patient progress, symptom relief, medication interactions and overall patient wellbeing.

Patients will only be seen with a GP referral and the service is a private billing consultation Dr Mohomed Ghafoor accepts patient referrals for the following condition.

Conditions for which medicinal cannabis may be prescribed:

• Chronic Pain (Cancer and Non-Cancer)

• Multiple Sclerosis (MS): Severe muscular spasms and other symptoms.

• Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting

• Parkinson’s disease

• Epilepsy: Some types of epilepsy with severe seizures.

• Palliative Care: Cachexia, nausea and vomiting, and pain.

• Chronic Non-Cancer Pain: Some forms.
